Argos Engineering
started its activity as a design and technical documentation
development studio. Since the beginning Argos paid much attention to
the use of the best CAD system available in the sector of advanced
mechanical design.
This
way, it has been possible to develop many kinds of projects in several sectors
of mechanics, plants and design working with important firms. Argos’ first
experiences are in the Paper technical sector, where worked with firms like
Sate and Emmeci and got special skills in designing of micro-logistic of
wrapped boxes with gluing, coupling, positioning and cutting machines, arriving
to design complete production lines.
At the
same time Argos was working with Textile and Chemical sector firms by means of
projects for centrifugal hydro-extractors (Cima Impianti) and for textile
fibers handling (Ommi and Officine Gorgeri)Especially
with Cima Impianti (for about 12 years) Argos
developed projects for spun dry, for water treating and purification, and for
chemical preparations production.
For other firms like
TI-Engineering or CPA Elettronica took part in projects for bottle and phials
checking for Pharmaceutical sector.
In
2002 started a continuous working ratio with AnsaldoBreda (an important Railway
sector firms part of Finmeccanica Group) to whom Argos supplied many
engineering services for several items of the vehicle, taking part to projects
for the HVAC plant of Tram Sirio for Milan, Goteborg, Sassari, Naples, Athens,
Florence, Kayseri.
In
2004 Argos took
part to the design development of Metro Los Angeles and to the work starting of
Metro Boston, in which have been developed complete plant groups like
conditioned air supply in cabin and passengers saloon, interior lining and
cabin tool panels, under and interior coach plants layout, Defrost/Deminster
Plant design and head vehicle resins design.
In
2005 Argos
executed visibility studies according to
UIC 651 for Project V250 (Holland-Belgium Train) and Tram Sirio Goteborg.
Moreover, in 2005 started the
MLA Project (Light Automatic Metro) where Argos
follows the engineering of vehicle plants, aluminium alloys interior lining
fastening system, tools and plants. In this project were introduced innovative
technologies for the fastening by means of anti-vibrating supports of aluminium
interior lining so that to dump all the vibrations and make the vehicle
particularly comfortable..
Designs in progress
Railway
sector: cooperation with ECM (Elettromeccanica CM) from Pistoia for the installation on board of
communication system between train and ground plants about train running-way
safety.
Project
of integration with interior lining of fire prevention and extinction plants by
means of liquids.
Many
projects in cooperation with AnsaldoBreda about various technical arguments. Research
sector: design and development of a tomographic machine for small animals in
cooperation with the Institute of Clinical Physiology of CNR in PISA .
Energy
sector: design and development (ISIF) of a new plugging equipment for intervention of
maintenance and repair on pressured fluids (up to 65 bar) supply piping based
on an innovative kind of fitting with a sluice-gate valve device which allows a
remarkable increment of safety working conditions.
Automotive sector:
participation in the design of a multifunction vehicle for single user or small
groups urban mobility. This project includes research, experimental development
and prototype building of an innovative modular vehicle with electrical or
hybrid motorization.
Naval sector: solutions for integrating systems and interior furnishings on boats.
Fitness and wellness industry: design and manufacture of modular
self-supporting steel pools suitable for incorporation in any
environment, health, physiotherapy, fitness and furnishings industry.
